American Home Mortgage fraudulently charging my escrow account 4X the tax amount and HAVENT BEEN PAYING TAXES OR INSURANCE!!!! Mellville New York

American home mortgage is a fraudulent servicer that will steal extra money from your escrow, not pay your taxes and insurance and than good luck getting your money back due to the fact that they are Bankruptcy and all creditors must get in line.

In April they hit my escrow account for 2000.00 saying my taxes went up to 8000.00. (By the way my taxes are 1400 annually on my property and I have a copy of this from the county.) So after they wiped out 2000.00 from my escrow account they then doubled my payment from 900.00 to 1800.00 to make up for the supposed shortage to my escrow.

As if this weren't bad enough, no one anwers the phone at American Home Mortgage. You can call and you get put on hold indefinitely. I actually waited for 2 hours once just to see if anyone would answer!

Now I have found out that they didn't even pay my taxes with that 2000.00 and my taxes are delinquent subject to a 10% penalty. The company does not respond to correspondence or phone calls. I managed to track down the phone number of David Friedman EVP of Servicing and he doesn't return calls either!
