american law division harrasing and ruse threats california, California

i recieved several phone calls from a 000 number and finnally i answered and it sounded funny that they said i had a law suit againstme, they said that money tree deposited money into my account and then they tried to extract the money back and they couldnt and now they are filling criminal charges against me and told me to fax a copy of my id over to them and i hung up the phone, they later called me at work and were leaving horrible messages with my co-workers. later that day i went to the police and they said that i should change my number and account number.
