American Legal Services Legal Assistant IS A SCAM, THEY DEMAND MONEY & THREATEN YOU WITH LAW SUITE REGARDING PAYDAY LOANS New York, New York

On, January 31, 2011, I was contacted by a Jenny Johnson, at my job, claiming to be a legal assistant. She started off the conversation by yelling do I have a lawyer and you have been taken to court for a internet fraud and and racketeering. She demanded money without verifying who the money was for, an account number, and would not give an address for her nor the company she was representing.

I called back and got a guy on the telephone and he would not give any information. I then knew this was a scam. I contacted my back and saw a charge for a COMFORT, INN in CT. And, I have to cancel my credit/debit card and get a new one and file a claim on the fraud charges.

DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM. I called American Legal Services again today, February 2, 2011, to advise them that I have contacted my bank regarding the scam and needed information regarding their company and who they are representing, and the guy on the telephone told me I need to hang up and they are not required to give me any information, and he hung up on me. About 10 seconds later, Jenny called and demanded the money be made available to them.
