ameriquest lied to me riped me off I wanted to refi and come to find out that i have a 3 year prepayment penlty thay told me that I could refi in 2 Years leirs not true.5275.20 and then charged me 120.00 to fax a copy of my payoff 8000.24 in there settlement fees last year my husband was dignest with cancer and when I called them to asked what they could do to help me with the payment thay told me that is was my problem that I still had to pay my payment on time or I would get a late fee ther custmore service is nasty people this company sould not be able to ruin anymore lives PLEASE READ MY STORY

I am not defending that company, nor any employee, Brenda. What they have learned to do is to operate just inside the letter of the law.
Out of one side of their mouths, they say that you can refinance after two years. Out of the other side of their mouths, they say that if you refinance after two years, your credit will have improved, but your loan contract still has one more year on the prepayment penalty clause. It's really crappy.
You're correct : This company should not be allowed to ruin any more lives.
