AT&T Yellow Pages AT&T will NOT list me in the yellow pages even on a single line even though I have paid for full color ads that don't ever appear in the yellow pages. Internet

I own the 3rd largest pool store in Lake Charles, LA. I paid for a full color ad in 2006 to appear in the yellow pages. Not only did AT&T not print my ad, but I was not even listed on a single line with all the other pool companies in town who were listed. They never refunded my payment nor would return my call.

In 2007 I did not pay for an ad in their ripoff book. But even though I have 2 business lines and a fax line with AT&T, they still did not even list me on a single line in the yellow pages. They cash my monthly checks to pay for my 2 pohone lines and fax line, but won't include me in their book.

In 2008 I was feeling the love and decided to give these scam artists another chance. My thinking was that this is the most popular phone book around and we sell in-ground pools that could total $100,000.00 in installation cost. If a person shopping for a pool does not know my company exists, I stand to lose hundreds of thousands of dollars by not being in this book. In short, I paid for another full color ad at a "reduced" rate because AT&T was "sorry" for what had happened to me thus far.

My full color ad that I PAID for never appeared in the book and - once again - my company was not even listed on a single line with all the other big and SMALL companies in the area.

For the 2009 season, AT&T contacted me to buy an ad as if nothing ever happened. When I explained to them how they'd scammed me for years, no one would call me back. Guess what? The 2009 book came out and we still are not listed on any line in the yellow pages. We are in the WHITE pages, but if a person is looking to buy a $100,000.00 pool and don't know we exist, they wouldn't know to look for our specific company in the WHITE pages. They'll be looking under "Swimming pools" in the YELLOW pages where we do NOT exist.

We have drafted a letter to the BBB and are consulting with professionals to see what we should do legally. It's bad enough they leave us out of the yellow pages even though I have 3 lines that I pay for every month and have never been late paying, but they leave us out even when we pay for full color ads that they cash the checks for.

SCAM ARTISTS. NEVER TRUST THEM.
