AT&T Yellow Pages Shut down my web site for over 10 days when I asked my URL to be released. Our customers think we are closed down since the comment states we are closed. Riverside California

I have been trying to get a release of my URL which was registered under AT&T. My sales rep stated that would not be a problem, it would be released in a few days. That was in April. Three months later, after numerous calls from me, they told me that my paperwork was lost and would have to be re-submitted. So that same day (July 14th) I re-faxed the necessary forms to an internet specialist, Jason.

While I was on vacation, I was notified by my assistant that we were getting calls from customers concerned that we were out of business because our web site was shut down and the message read "www.wholesaleshutter.com is closed." My assistant contacted Jason asking why our web site was shut down. After making a lot of excuses, he promised it would be up again very shortly. My assistant was calling every day without any cooperation from anyone at AT&T.

When I returned from vacation, I spent an entire day, leaving messages for my sales rep as well as the person who was handling this. No-one returned any of my calls. I finally was able to track down a manager in the Riverside office who assured me it would be resolved. Even he failed to follow through with his assurances.

We have lost so much business due to the lack of cooperation and terrible service by these people. We are spending over $1,000 per month in phone book advertising as well as use them for our company cell phones. I am appalled at their careless attitudes and terrible service. No one seems to care about a valuable customer. Each day that our web site is down, we are losing a lot of business, since the internet was generating numerous sales for us.

The worst part is that the reputation that Wholesale Shutter Co. has established since 1985 is being tarnished as the public seems to think we are out of business! AT&T has cost us more than the lost sales, but also our valuable reputation!
