AT&T AT&T promised a $50 rebate for the modem but has not paid after 4 months and multiple calls Ripoff Tulsa Oklahoma
*Consumer Comment: My Experience
In Feb 2007, I started service with AT&T for phone and internet service. AT&T advertised a $50 rebate to accompany their internet service. I mailed in the rebate exactly as instructed. Its been 4 months now and I've called twice. After the second call, the customer svc rep is still telling me to wait another 4 weeks for the check. Hhuumm...that will make it 5 months.
Maybe AT&T is earning lots of interest on un-distributed rebate checks?

It took me SIX months and they finally credited my account the rebate amounts. I think the only reason they did so was because I had it IN WRITING, what they had promised. They had submitted a proposal by fax to get me to change my business lines and internet service BACK to them. What I was suppose to get was: a $50 visa card, a $50 rebate AND an $80 rebate. I got the $50 visa card AND they credited my account $80 TWICE, but that was after the SIX months and endless calls. What a pain in the a*s.
