I have been dealing with Auto Gallery for over four years and thought that I could trust the salesman that I had been dealling with for this whole time. Apparently that was not the case.

I went in to purchase a different vehicle because the one I had was no longer feasible. I asked alot of questions before I signed the papers. One thing I needed to be sure of was that if something happened that I could get out of this vehicle. I was repeatedly told that that would not be a problem.

The vehicle I purchased is a standard. I suffer from chronic pain and found that driving a standard increased the amount of pain I was having. I contacted Auto Gallery as soon as I became aware of the problem.

I was told that the matter would be looked into and that I would be contacted right away. I never heard from anyone for over two weeks.

When I finally heard back from my salesman he told me that the finance company wouldn't allow me to change vehicles. I expressed my concern over the fact that he had told me that if something happened I wouldn't have a problem getting a different vehicle.

I decided to call the finance company and they told me that it was up to the dealership and all that needed to be done was they give me a different vehicle. Which requires extra paper work and not much else. So Auto Gallery was trying to pass it off on the finance company and not take responsibility for what they had said.

I also found out that I was overcharged almost five thousand dollars above the retail price of this vehicle. I was told by the salesman that he had already decreased the price by over four thousand dollars and couldn't go any lower. As soon as I mentioned being overcharged they wanted to know where I got the information from.

I have been calling for over a month waiting for something to get done about this.

The fact of the matter is I was guaranteed that there would be no problems getting me out of this vehicle. It isn't that I don't like the color or something petty like that. I am suffering with more pain everytime I drive. It is affecting my life on so many levels. I have had to increase my pain medication because of this which is in turn costing me more money.

Yesterday when I called again to find out what was going on I found out that the salesman I dealt with is no longer working there and that no one else had knowledge of any of this.

Not only do I feel that my trust was betrayed , I feel that this company does not stand behind their word even in circumstances that are very well founded and of concern. I should not have to suffer from more pain than I already have just from driving my vehicle.

I feel that something could and should be done about this and that the company should stand behind what they say especially in my situation where I have a disability and a valid reason for needing to change vehicles.

I just wanted to make it clear that we are NOT the same Auto Gallery as is stated here. We are located in Woodland Hills, CA.

still getting no where

AUTHOR: Joanna - (Canada)

POSTED: Thursday, June 02, 2005

Well after months of trying to get this issue resolved I am still no further ahead. After speaking with the owner and two other salesmen I am now being told that I owe too much on the vehicle for them to do anything. My pain has increased to the point of requiring a change in medication. So after being assured that something would be done about my vehicle due to my pain levels and disability I am still suffering. From where I sit I think that if they really wanted to help they would find a way to do something. The vehicle is like brand new so I can't see it being a problem to resell.
