Beware when buying anything from Banana Hobby. There return policy for remote control items is unreasonable.
We purchased a "$100" airplane on sale for $40, it cost $16 to ship it and on the first flight the tail broke, second flight, the wing and third flight it crashed due to the previous damages and broke the nose.
I called to get my money back and they said they do not refund money if your plane crashes! I explained that it was inferior in quality and falsely advertised as a well made product and they still refused.
Luckily, my Chase credit card was able to refund me the cost of the plane because the retailer refused. Bad business, buyer beware!

Anyone who sells RC airplanes will have the same warranty restriction. It's not unethical, it's common sense. RC airplanes crash. It's almost guarantted to happen in the hands of a novice. If a retailer refunded for crashed planes, they'd soon be out of business. If you think this return policy is unreasonable, I suggest you purchase from a retailer that will refund you on a crashed RC airplane (hahaha).
I can imagine that what you call poorly constructed, others would categorize as poorly flown.
Chase may have reversed the charges temporarily (standard procedure), but if the retailer shows that they have a policy that does not allow returns of crashed merchandise, you can expect them to reinstate the charge.
