Banfield banfield pet hospital Refused to cancel policy after dog died, filed negative credit for collections. EVIL company wichita Kansas

Took my sick dog to Banfield doctors, they gave shots and signed us up for banfield pet insurance. I had to take my dog to a real vet the next week but kt was too late, he passed away from illness. I notified banfield after receiving a bill fo monthly insurance that i wished to cancel as my dog has died - but they said I could not and tried many ways by passing me around on the phone to keep me as a customer I finally had to yell at them - it was emotional time losing a member of our family and this jerk wanted insurance fees for a year when we only used a month. it is insane! I thought it wasz taken care of but now when I go to apply for a home loan the bank says Banfield put a collection on my credit for over $700! without notice or anything. Its a scam, fraud and these jerks should have a little compassion and common sense but they lack both. Now my credit is damaged and Banfield is refusing to reverse charges. It's sad and the public should be aware that this company is awful and there are several complaints similar to mine with stories of inability to cancel. I will be filing complaint with insurance commission, bbb and corporation comission in Kansas and the AG consumer fraud department. DO NOT use this company - worst customer service ever.
