Bank Of America illegally authorized a $1500.00 transaction on my credit card and argues that I am responsible. The headquarters is in Charlotte, North Carolina

I had a reservation that my friend made in Lithuania. I dealt directly with a travel agency and they called in order to get my credit card information. I gave them the information, thinking that it was required for the reservation made because I had only put down a $100.00 deposit via my friend's credit card, and I still needed a plane ticket to Lithuania. Instead of using my credit card information for this reservation, the travel agency, without my authorization, decided that they were going to charge me for a ticket to a completely different country (Latvia). Apparently somebody was under the impression that I needed to throw away $1500.00. Bank of America was made aware of the situation after being contacted about this problem. They informed me that I was responsible for any transaction made by the company simply because I gave them my credit card information. Using this logic, any store where I used my credit card for a purchase, can charge me for anything that I did not want, agree to or request, and I would be responsible for this.

I spoke to a dispute manager named TJ (he would not provide his name or employee ID number), and he informed me that I was going to have to make the payment for this charge even though I did not authorize it. His phone number is 1-410-229-6597. Bank of America apparently feels that it has absolutely no obligation to protect its customers from fraudelent transactions. The illegal actions of a crooked travel agency are being protected by the criminal enterprise known as Bank of America corporation.
