THIRD QUARTER POEM

We're in the 3rd QUARTER
CFO's ready to throw
Will stock prices stay up
Or will they keep going LOW?

CEO's are not smiling
No more grin 'ear to ear'
Maybe sales are declining
Tell us- what is it they fear?

The economy's contracting
Inflation is too high
No more Chevys, no hot-dogs
No more Apple Pie!

Where is Freddie, where's Fannie
Where did Countrywide go
What happened to the market
Why are stock values so LOW?

Could the Professor be right
Are those stocks all a LIE
Are they just an illusion
Are they 'pie in the sky'?

Just who is this Professor
Maybe someday we'll know him
That's why I sat down
To write- 3rd QUARTER POEM!

This poem is over
Time to make some spaghetti
I'll listen to Andrea Bocelli
Then I'll put on some Petty!!!
