Bank of America BAC Home Loans Servicing, LP Racial Bias, Slamming Telephone/Receiver/Headset down, Heavy Breathing into phone, lying about info on account Simi Valley, California

Every time I have to call this bank, I get treated impolitely when I get an African American customer service representative. If I have one of my African American friends call, all of a sudden they are polite..

The last time I called, I got a customer service rep named Jimmy Florence. He told me the social security number on the account was incorrect. It wasn't-when I finally DID get to speak to the supervisor, she said it was correct.When I asked to speak to a supervisor, instead of putting me on hold, he breathed heavily onto the phone, made loud slamming noises, laughed loudly, and held conversations with other people. He kept saying "the supervisor is here to take your call", and then there would be more laughing, and breathing, and loud noises when I said, "Hello?"

When I finally did get the supervisor, she said she couldn't give me information about our loan because my husband's name is on it. We went through this in September 2009 & already have something on file with the mortgage company saying I have permission to conduct business over the telephone. I have NEVER had a problem, and I am always the one who calls and talks to the bank.

What kind of people do this who work in customer service. I was on the phone for almost an hour, and just got made fun of and harrassed. It would be nice to speak to an adult who actually wants to work.

I don't appreciate being treated like this....it is racially biased. You shouldn't have to be a certain color or race when you call for help about your mortgage. I feel harrassed because I am a caucasian and an immigrant.

We are also being charged extra money (about $200) on our monthly payment because BAnk of America has calculated our property taxes incorrectly. They have received a tax bill with the correct amount on it, and owe us a refund. When I tried to get the money back, I described above what happened.

I've never heard of a company ripping you off this way. I supposed it's funny if it's not happening to you...
