BB &T has continuously been charging my account with overdraft fees. Even when speaking with the bank rep to discuss how they can warrant the charges, her list of transactions are not in the same order as presented on my end. I have made deposits tto my account to cover purchases about to be made and they still come up with a way to charge me and then turn around and tell me they will not reimburse the charges for 2 years!!! What!

I review the accounts on a daily basis as I also have business accounts and they continuously repoort the charges inaccurately to charge additional fees and shoould be stopped!

Do not use BBT bank at all

And the side kick appears

Again, in case you purposely missed my point. I'll clarify it for you as well. Unless you are in a position to return my stolen money. Your negative opinion has no place in what has happened. The fact that my claim was not detailed enough for you does not erase the fact that what my claims are is valid. My detailed records are for my attorneys usage to prove in court not to post and entertain anyone including you. I believe your name was "Einstein" correct? Hmmm Anyway, I'm sorry you need more entertainment in your life and you choose open forums such as this for that very purpose, unfortunately that's an evil thing to attack a victim.... everything against the codes of "sidekicks" have a great day and make sure your not apart of this class action lawsuit. just read about it and continue to post your opinion.

Yes Sir...The Nail Was Hit Directly On The Head, Wasn't It?

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, March 24, 2016

Since it is quite obvious Robert hit the nail perfectly and very squarely on the head...and...you have ZERO intelligent rebuttal...its the "who do you think you are" immature response and/or "you must work for them" cop out!  YOU gave YOURSELF away in your own words by saying you check the balance regularly.  Not once did you say you kept written records. Not once did you say you kept an on-going running balance over these years.  Not once did you say you only used the account when your on-going running balance told you enough money was in the account!  In EVERY CASE of whiners complaining about overdraft fees, the ONLY CAUSE is their failure to keep written records.  You can play the blamethrower game all you wish, you can say something stupid like the basic rules of arithmetic don't work but the bottom line is very clear and very obvious...YOU brought this on yourself by not keeping written records.  You should NOT use this bank or any other bank until YOU learn how to manage a checking account!  Oh guess what Einstein...I don't work for them either AND if you don't like the responses you get here...don't post on a public site!

NO RIPOFF HERE -- Complainer admits to not properly managing a checking account thus giving themselves massive overdraft fees.

Clearly the one who received the bump on their head is you for your response as I never stated this has happened for 2 years but because I do know the policy (as you so eloquently assumed I didn't know) the branch has stated they will not reimburse the charges for 2 years. Unless you are a rep from BB & T and or in a position to refund my money (stolen by BB &T) I would appreciate you direct your comment to someone who may find use in your opinion. This venue is to make others alert to practices not lawful and help my fellow citizens. Not be baggered by any or the likes of your negative energy. Until it happens to you and trust it will even to a person with an accountant degree you will then truly understand the underlining deceit that is and has occurred. Period

Give me a break...

AUTHOR: Robert - (USA)

You are really coming here and complaining that you have been getting Overdraft fees for TWO YEARS. Yet instead of you trying to figure out what you need to do different, you continue to blame the bank.

So just how many times do you think you need to hit yourself on the head with a hammer before it stops hurting?

Seriously, just based on the little bit of detail you provided I can tell you at least one thing you are doing wrong.

You are attempting to use the money in your account BEFORE it is actually available.  You see you need to look at their Funds Availability Policy and the order they post transactions.  Do they post Debits or Credits First?

Because if you are depositing money to cover a "future" transaction.  You need to make sure it is actually available in the account before you use it.  When you make a deposit it may be 1-5+ business days before your funds are actually available.  This depends on the type, amount, and how you made the deposit.  Saturday/Sunday and Holidays are NOT business days.  So any deposit you make after the cut-off time on Friday will not be posted until Tuesday morning at the earliest. Unless Monday is a Holiday, then it would be Wensday.

Before you go any farther, yes this is how EVERY bank works at the basic level.  The difference is that some have different policies when it comes to funds availability and their posting order.  But it is YOUR resposibility to be fully aware of their policies.  If you are not, then go into the bank and ask them for another copy.

But for you to continue to do this for two years...come on now.
