Bosch Throw away stove Huntington Beach, California

Paid over $1000 for a Bosch gas stove. First the oven igniter went out. Bill for over $170. Less than a year later the broiler igniter failed. Tooks 3 weeks to get the part. Another bill for over $170. During both service calls told the tech that the right front burner is much hotter on one side than the other. First he said there was nothing he could do. Next he said, "you can get a new burner for $35 and it may or may not fix the problem."

Not happy with that answer, I called the company that provided service. Her answer was even worse. 'The only way to replace the burner is drill it out. Service will be more than $200 in addition to the burner. But there is no guarentee it will be better and the stove could be damaged in the process.' She went on to say the model we had purchased was low end, not really made by Bosch, and considered a throw away product not designed to be repaired. Who knew that a $1000 stove was a throw away?

An email to Bosch got no reply after over a month. A phone call to their customer service (or lack thereof) department confirmed that they would no nothing about the many problems.
