We decided to use Buy Owner because we used them to buy our home.
We proceeded to call for an appointment to list our house and the agent came to our home. She showed us three packages that ranged from $3400 and up.
We told here we were on a budget and she said these were the three packages we could choose from.
Well, with some research, and speaking to others that have listed with Buy Owner, we were informed they have many packages that are as low as $1200.00. They blatently lied to use, in our own home. I feel completely cheated.
We just wanted something simple and reasonable to fit in our budget since we couldn't afford to list or sell with an agent.
We were told these were our options. WHAT A LIE!!!!!
These agents come to your home, steal your money, and promise you that millions of people from around the country see your home and you should have results right away. In a months time, we have not had one call or email.
They also told us we could make paymentsthrough a financial service but yet, they don't explain the fact these strangers hold a deed to your home if you sell. We were told we could make $19.00 a month payments not the $700.00 that the financial group has been calling us about. Immediately after telling the the financial group we couldn't pay them, the listing was cancelled and were out all of the money we put into it. What a JOKE!
The details of Buy Owner are not communicated to the sellers, they are twisted so the sellers are cornered into thinking these are their only options.
Beware of these people! I guess when the New Owner took over the Central Florida Market, he took lots of time to teach his agents to screw each individual equally.
Trust me. I would pay a realtor commision over theses misfits anyday. Thankfully, our business resides in an area with many realty offices so, we are able to communicate Buy Owners scandalous ways to potential Buyers and sellers daily.

After reading your rebuttal and laughing about it with all of the realtors that I deal with at my business on a daily basis, I have a few things that might increase your IQ buy at least 2 points.
#1 I changed the price of my listing due to the fact I had absolutely no action on it for a month. I seriously doubt that my beautiful house was less appealing than some off the dumps I saw listed in this area for much more.
#2 After speaking with others about Buy Owners practices, don't you think it's a bit strange that they felt they had been communicated with poorly about all of their options for selling their homes. Hundreds of people have the same complaint about Buy Owner.
#3 Due to the fact that A slum lord is now in full power of this company it doesn't surprise me of the lengths he has pressured his employees to go for a buck. It's almost like Hitler killing off all of the jews and then telling people to believe it never happened.
4# For every rebuttal you give me, I'll give you 3. I can count 12 realtor offices in the area that I come in contact with where I work and we laugh all day at the going ons in that company.
5# You guys actually give Realtor offices a good name!
6# Regardless of what was signed, all the info was communicated incorrectly and that is misrepresentation. Believe what you want but, my reputation is still intact. Judging by yours on Rip Off, Buyers beware, and so many more, Buy-Owner won't last.

In our 20 plus years in business, Buy Owner has taken any and all customer complaints seriously and is committed to providing our buyers and sellers with nothing but the best customer service. Buy Owner has investigated Lauren's complaint and disputes her allegations. Buy Owner has provided all of the services that were contracted for. Below are facts in response to Lauren's complaint:
1. At the seller's request, an initial meeting was conducted between a Buy Owner representative, at which time the client "selected" that was most appropriate for her selling circumstances.
2. If in fact the options the veteran representative recommended did not suit the seller's budget or needs, they never should have moved forward with the marketing campaign.
3. In response to the seller's lack of calls or emails, perhaps this is largely due to the fact that her price has been changed three additional times since she listed her home originally on 8/8 at $222,000, it was then "raised" on 8/15 to $242,000, back down to $209,000 on 9/1 and then "raised significantly" back up $270,000 only four days later. After reviewing your personal website statistics, it states that you have had over 1578 matches to your property and over 130 personal views. Our commitment to all of our sellers is to provide exposure needed in advertising their home and as you can see, 1578 matches is a considerable number of potential buyers. Unfortunately, we cannot control sales price, which is set by our sellers.
4. After reviewing the paperwork from the finance company, it was very clearly stated what the monthly payments would be on two seperate documents in addition to when they were due. As many of our clients choose to do, they have the four monthly payments charged to their credit card and simply make minimum monthly payments, in your case approximately $20 per month. They simply pay the balance off when the home is sold.
Buy Owner has fulfilled all of it's contractual obligations and stands behind it's marketing campaign. We believe that if in fact the pricing of the property were not all over the place, that Lauren too, could not only be a happy Buy Owner buyer, but a happy Buy Owner seller as well.
