Callwave ripoff Internet

I have subscribed to callwave for several years. I used the option of 2 monthly payments of $17.70 on my phone bill to cover a year of service. When I received this months phone bill, it said Callwave was billing new services this month of $7.95.

I emailed callwave and didn't receive any satisfaction, so today I called them and they said the option of 2 payments of $17.70 a year was no longer available. They claimed they had sent me an email to tell me about the changes. THEY DID NOT. Why would I pay an extra $60 a year for a service I had been getting for $35.40.

I cancelled callwave a few days prior to my phone call over the internet and uninstalled it. The guy was kinda smart and said I couldn't have a refund of $7.95 on this months' bill, and I said fine ---but you won't get it cause I haven't sent my phone payment yet. I call my phone company and they have noted the dispute on their records, and told me just to deduct $7.95 from my bill until matter is settled.

Has this happened to anyone else? Thank you for your interest in this matter.
