CAMPING WORLD DECEPTIVE SALES TACTICS FREDERICKSBURG VIRGINIA

Upon calling Camping World to inquire as to the price of a used motorhome, I was asked to use my credit card to give over "a one thousand good faith deposit" before being given the price.  After the salesman sending pictures of the unit, I agreed to purchase the unit.

I was told the unit could not be purchased for the $8500 I offered initially but could be purchased for a tad under $8700. The reason given was Camping World was losing money as it cost $1500 to prepare the unit for sale.

Next, I asked to speak to the manager who then told me they sold the unit to a "wholesaler" offered more money then what they agreed to sell it to me for. I was buying the unit for a 73-year-old friend who is down on his luck and needed transportation and a home to live in... the motorhome solved his problem.  He is very disappointed.  

Bottom line... I was lied to and used by Camping World to enrich themselves at the expense and feelings of an old man.  

Be extremely cautious dealing with Camping World... they claim they have over 100 locations nationwide... to be safe, assume the way I was treated is the way you will be treated.
