Capital Home Shield Fraud, Misleading, total scam N Miami, Florida

This company is a total scam.  I was induced to take a three year warranty at a fantastic price and promise that they would out perform AHS which I had used for years satisfactorily.  Unfortunately, shortly after the policy was in effect my $13,000 sub zero refrigerator lost its cooling.  I was informed that they would not honor my claim because it is over 10 years old.  There is a dollar limit on their policy, but no age limit. That mistake cost me over $500.

In Oct I returned home to find my pool pump out of service.  After putting me through  hoops they informed me that it would take at least a month to replace it.  They then changed their phones so you only get an answering service and NEVER return phone calls. Finally after three weeks (ever seen a non circulated pool) I was forced to spend the $300+ to repair it myself.

After that I made one contact with Steve -probably a mistake-who promised to refund my premium.  That was several weeks ago.  Of course,I can no longer reach him.

I am filing a complaint with the FL & CA Insurance Commissioners and the FL Att. General.

Do not go near this company - they are a complete scam!!
