Care one credit Scam artist not credit counseling Columbia Maryland

So I basically wasted 4 yrs of my life being associated with Careone and their partner Persels and associates. I started out owing a debt of nearly 24000 to various creditors I let my credit go during previous relationships but had scored a job with enough income now to pay my bills and to pay some debt off. So I went to Careone counseling for advice, they set me up with a payment plan of 486 dollars a month for 4 years. I was paying as agreed month to month and about a year before I questionedwhy I couldn't log on to their website. Never could I called and called page never worked. so then they told me about Persels and associates and they lowered my payment to 380 dollars a month and amount of time I have to pay. So I paid persels another year and a half which the 20 months I paid Careone totaled 9600 dollars and Persels was6800 so I roughly shelled out 17,000 dollars and I happen to check my 3 credit reports out one day about 9 months ago and only about 3000 dollars was only paid out. So I asked them what happened to my money and they said it was interest and other penalties for being late on a payment once in awhile. Really? I've contacted BBB and they scared a 500 dollar refund out of them but it's not worth my trouble to even bother with it now just to take a lesson from me and do not use this company for anything they will lie their way right into your wallet they take advantage of vulnerable people trying to do the right thing. And it's ashamed I didn't even know about this site before but I wouldn't have used them now. I wouldnt have wasted 17,000 bucks !
