I ordered the acaipure product from Central Coast NutraCentral Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc. on Sept 20/08 at www.acai-pure.com and I received an email confirming that the product would be shipped in 2-3 business days. Two days later, I discovered my account was charged $44.85 and not the $4.95 as per the websites claim. I sent and email requesting a refund for the overcharged amount. No reply amount the overcharged amount or any explanation as to why they charged that amount. They just replied in an email that the product is on backorder. This was the first red light.

Two to three business days turned into a month and the product still wasn't shipped. I called the 1-888 number provided on their website and the phone is not answered by a customer service rep but by an automatic message service that explains the following: due to high call volume we are experiencing a longer than usual wait time or something to that effect. No one ever answers the line no matter how long you wait. I've called over a dozen times at various times during the day according to their 8 to 5 business hours and no one answers. This was the second red light.

On Oct. 23 I sent an email and requested a full refund as I have not received any products and again I received no answer at the customer service line but an email response from a different CCN Customer Care personel stating a refund would be provided.

To my surprise on Oct. 27th acaipure or Central Coast Nutra or whatever they are calling their business passed another unauthorized amount of $39.95 in my account. Remember, I still haven't received any products and this is the second amount they are charging.

I've sent numerous emails requesting a full refund and I have yet to hear from these so called customer care individuals. I've never been able to speak with anyone directly and no one addresses the mysterious charges that keep coming out of my account. They are not authorized to charge any amount especially if products or services have not been provided.

How do we stop this company from scamming others? By posting this message on the internet to warm others. Hopefully, they will read this before going out there and purchasing from this fraudulent company. I've contacted my bank to cancel my card so they can not pass any more amounts. It's left to be seen if my money will ever be refunded.
