I was not only ripped off by Sunrise Herb/Sage Advice but again by Chase Mastercard.

They billed me nearly $1500 although there were no transactions with the herb company.

From the start I notified Chase to put a hold on account or change no. and they refused.

To add insult to injury, while still in dispute, Chase has added $39 in late fees and over $22 in finance charges!

I have filed a complaint with the Controller of the Currency. As for the herb company, the CT. Atty. Gen. has brought charges, Chase is aware of this and yet they continue to do business with frauds.

Chase said it is all MY fault because I gave the card no. to the herb co. How stupid can they be!! Credit cards are supposed to protect us from these things happening!

Chase Didn't Listen!

AUTHOR: Mariann - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, April 28, 2007

The products I received and amount charged were un-authorized, NEVER discussed. I gave credit card no. in good faith. Chase was informed immediately so as to prevent further transactions. I have since learned both Visa and Mastercard have had major complaints regarding herb company.

Late fees and finance charges were issued solely on the disputed amount as no other money was owed.

CT. Attorney General has filed suit due to HUNDREDS of complaints similar to mine. Once the herb co. gets card no. she keeps billing regardless. I was informed by a Chase manager that THEY didn't pursue this company as they should have. I have an excellent credit history and a high credit line--Chase should have listened to ME since I am the one who has to pay the bill.

The herb company states they ship once a month and yet I was billed WEEKLY. They say to cancel prior to 15th of month and certified letter proves I did that after first un-authorized transaction. Look up the meaning of fraud!

Chase is stupid?

AUTHOR: R - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, April 28, 2007

Ok, first off you said "they" billed you $1500, who is "they"? Chase or the Herb company? Chase doesn't "bill" you, the merchants bill you. And if there were no transactions with the herb company, then there was $1500 of other charges.

By law, Chase cannot stop any charges from being bill to you unless Chase thinks it's fraud.

You had said that you were billed $39 for late fee and over $22 in finance charges. Even though a speceific charge is in dispute, you still have to pay your other charges. So did you pay your bill on time?

1. YOU EXSPECT chase to handel your business for you. try doin it yourself. federal law states that you are responsible to up to $50 of unauthorized used of your credit card but you autherized it. we can help you dispute the charge but if you autherized the charge and its legit you wont get it back. take actions for yourself and stop exspectin your credit card to handle it for you

Put your complaint in writing

AUTHOR: Larry - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, April 08, 2007

You did not say how long ago this occurred so I hope this is recent.

Make sure that you put your dispute in writing. The back of your statement should have instructions on where to send it to. I have found that the morons that answer the 800 numbers have no clue or authority to deal with a dispute.

I had a similar dispute with another card several years ago and foolishly called their 800 number. When I said I would file a written dispute they insisted that I send it to a different address than what was on the statement; they claimed that no one ever looked it the PO Box listed on the statement. Needless to say the credit card company later said it had no record of a dispute.

The statement will tell how to file a dispute. Follow the instructions to the letter and forget about calling the 800 number.
