Oh man. These people are rediculous.
I called and had them clean my carpets in my apartment. First off, the lady on the phone quoted me 150.00. She apparently mis-quoted the square footage because it ended up being 332.85. The guy that did it was really nice, and said that "he had gotten all of the stains out." Myself, my roomate, and my friend all heard him say it, and were very happy to hear that. So, I get a note from my apartment complex saying that they re-carpeted my entire apartment!!! I couldn't believe it!! I paid almost 400.00 dollars to have that place spic and span!! The complex said that they brought in another company and they checked the carpets and said the stains were still there. My apartment complex is now charging me 1700.00 to re-carpet the entire apartment. REDICULOUS!!
So, I called CHEM DRY in ROSEVILLE and asked to speak to the manager. Christa, the older lady who answered at CHEM DRY ROSEVILLE, was extremely rude and told me that there was nothing they could do for me. She also informed that I wouldn't get my money back. I left my number for the owner to call me back and Christa said the owner would call me "when she had time, and that it would probably be the next day. " SO RUDE.
So, I wait. I got a call four hours later from the owner, and this lady was a piece of work. She argued with me, LAUGHED AT ME, then told me that the carpet cleaner that myself and TWO other people heard say, "he got all the stains out," claimed 'that never happened.' She then told me that I was making it up, just to get my money back from them. She also started talking about my lease, which she knows nothing about, and stated, "I don't know if there was ever even a pet on the lease," . . . basically saying I was a lier, and I had lied to my apartments, which was completely false. She also stated that, "The three of us had something to gain from 'lying' about what the cleaner had said." I couldn't believe it! I told her that it was a possibility he would say anything not to get in trouble at work. I also stated that her 'professional' completely mis-spoke, and the company he represents should be held accountable. She talked over me the entire conversation, and then told me that if I wanted my money back, for a job not completed, I'd have to get a lawyer. Oh, she also offered to send someone out to re-clean the carpets that the apartment complex had already ripped out, fully knowing that couldn't be done. At the end of the conversation, she told me, "I don't care what you say, this is what he said happened. I don't care what you're saying." That's the point that I hung up. When is it EVER ok to tell a PAYING CUSTOMER that you don't care what they have to say?!?!? I am shocked and EXTREMELY angry!!!
I will NEVER use this company again!!! Ever.

If you have proof , take them to small claims court. Although you have to realize most of these companies use "soap" . They will not tell you that. Detergents clean the stain at the time but...it comes back and gets bigger and bigger because of the soap. You and your roommates should file a lawsuit. If they can't be there then be sure to have a notarized statement from both. I lived in an apartment once...I say ONCE because we cleaned it spic and span then they tried to charge us saying it was unclean. If I knew then what I know now ..like they say hindsight is 20/20. Good luck to you.
