chubb institute chubb institute is a ripoff springfield, Pennsylvania

I in 2002 - 3 attended the chubb institute school in springfield pa. I can remember before this I had a job at the airport in philadelphia loading cargo planes. I got this job through a career fair at a local hotel. I started at 14:50 an hour. After two weeks working there I along with several others were brought into the office and told that they made a mistake in "dallas" and we were on the wrong pay scale and were offered the same job at 8:25 an hour. I can remember that night walking home in the rain and crying to myself in desperation saying "you will be putting up with this kind of stuff for the rest of your life unless you get an education". After watching a tv ad for chubb institute, considering my natural interest in computers (i had a vic 20 so i go way back i am now 40 then was 32-3), I went to enroll. I was told by my (what id like to call a sleazy used car salesman) intake guy when i asked about what i would recieve for this money and time, i was told a diploma....i asked if microsoft certification was neccessary to get the jobs described in the heavily inflated job placement program, and was told that they were looking for a diploma. At the time i can remember thinking that was kind of funny, but as desperate as i was i believed him. the class i enrolled in was information technology. tuition around 18,000 when it was all done. the classes were a joke. the intstructors were ignorant. one stating that we would be lucky to get a job at wawa (a local convenience store). I also remember being told that the credits would be transferable to another institution or college wich was a lie. I never got one call from the job placement person. no one in my class at all ever got a job in a related field. I have not payed one penny to these people. another thing. after all the hard work and studying at the final test in the end - the instructor  offered the whole class a chance to opt out of the test and be given a guarenteed 85 on the test. I can never remember a time in my life when i felt so insulted. I cant describe how i felt after i left realising how much i was ripped of and taken advantage of. I feel the people who perpetrate such harm and hurt to so many who are looking to better thier lives should be put in front of a firing squad. i cant imagine the thousands of poor unfortunate souls who's lives, hopes and dreams were dashed like mine was by these sharks. people like that should be exterminated from the face of this earth. I only hope my letter comforts someone else who may have been abused like this. if there are any class action suits currently pending please post so i can join. gene  media pa
