CIC Credit Monitor Service ripoff, fradulent charges, after requests to cancel service, $79.95 Orange County California

I fell for this scam just like many others; however, I called to request my account be cancelled on TWO occasions. As recently as the 3rd of October 2003, I called and was told that my account was cancelled and no more charges would be made.

On October 8, 2003, I was again charged $79.95, after being told I would not be charged again.

I have now had my bank cancel my credit card and issue me a new one. I have had to file a fraud complaint with my bank. Now CIC is saying they cannot issue me a refund because they will only issue refunds to the credit card used in the initial transaction, and the bank cancelled that one.

We need to consider a class action lawsuit and teach these guys a lesson.
