CIC Credit Monitoring Service ripoff, unauthorized billing deceptive company BEWARE OF CIC and their deception! California Internet

I signed up with this company for a free credit report, and like many other people, unchecked the box for the credit monitoring service, that would result in a fee. There would be a trial, and as long as I canceled within the period (hence they didn't state when the period would end), I called the same day that I signed up for the free trial to cancel. I look at my bank statement two days ago, and I see a charge from CIC credit monitoring service. I don't understand, because I cancelled on the same day.

I called and spoke to a rep, which took about 10 minutes. She wasn't rude or anything, but she verifies my info, then tells me that they don't have a record of me calling to cancel or unchecking the box online. I was very upset, and explained to her I called the same day to cancel the trial. Well, eventually she said she would credit my account in 7-10 days.

The thing is, they caused my bank account to become overdrawn and caused $100.00 in overdraft fees because i had other purchases coming through! So the bank reversed only half of the fees, and if they refund my money as she explained, then they will reverse the remaining fees. So I'll give an update when that occurs.

I feel better that i am not alone, and I thank ripoffreport.com for having this website. BEWARE OF CIC and their deception!
