Cic Credit Monitoring Service ripoff Orange California

My daughter is in college and wanted to see her credit report. She contacted a credit report service since she had fraudelent credit card charges two years ago. She doesn't remember where she got the number. They said "free". When it came to the end, she was told it would be $79.95. She didn't have that much in her account at that time so she canceled. Three days later she got an overdraft statement from the bank plus a $31.00 NSF charge.

It took me 3 weeks to get someone to agree to refund her money. Now our problem is no one will agree to reimburse her for the $31.00 NSF that they created. We should feel fortunate to get anything back however now she is out of $31. plus she has a black mark on her account at the bank for an NSF.

Our biggest concern is they have all of her personal information. There should be a mandatory disclaimer that one is entitled to a free report each year and any time credit is denied. Young people don't know this.
