Comerica Bank Comerica is misleading customers. I had a balance that i was told was paid in full 10 years ago. Roseville, Michigan

Back in 2001 I opened a bank account with comerica bank. After receiving bounce fees, I closed my account because I didn't agree with the charges. A few years later I returned to try and open an account. They told me the system was red flagging and would not allow them to open an account for me. I asked them what I needed to do. They told me I needed to pay both charges off and the payments would have to go to TRS Systems because they were handling my account. I was directed to pay comerica and they would send the money to them. Once I was paid in full or at least thought I was. I went back to the bank and asked them if I could open the account now that my account was paid in full. They checked the system and opened my account . Now today they took $98 from my account without warning. I investigated and found this was for fees owed to comerica from 2001-2007. I asked who the collection agency was and they said TRS Systems. Hmm I paid them in full and even got my checking account opened. Now they ask me for receipts from 10 years ago. I don't have anything. I said you should have a record somewhere that shows this was paid. Nope I made calls to everyone and got no where. They say the money was owed. Ok well if it was owed why did your bank manager tell me I was all set. Now ten years later you take my money with no warning? How come I was never notified of this fee? I know its only $98 but its the point. You have horrible customer service and you lie to your customers. I closed my account today and I will never return. I'm going to a bank who takes pride in their customers and doesn't lie to them and do sneak attacks with their customers bank accounts. Everyone I called through comerica gave me a run around. Basically they said well you owed us. Umm no I banked with you for years and you would think you would treat me better. Shame on you comerica bank.
