I was paying my account off and had one payment left finally! I am unable to receive my payoff. I've been trying for six weeks, calling the North Carolina office and they can't help. They say I have to fax a request to corporate office but of course, I can't talk to anyone in person. I fax twice! No answer! I'm sure my payment shows late now and I'll get a late fee - and can't do anything about it!
I will never buy another Gateway Computer due to this problem. Customer Service is very important, and selling accounts to crooks like these is unacceptable! I called today (7-26-02) and was actually told that I have to wait until I hear from corporate. I explain it's been six weeks and I was told there is absolutely nothing she could do or that I could do. I just have to wait.

I HAVE PERSONALLY FILED A LAW SUIT AGAINST COMPUTER FINANCE LLC. AS WELL AS FILED A COMPLAINT TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE, AND THE FAIR TRADE COMMISSION.
HOWEVER I HAVE ALL MY DOCUMENTATION AND PROOF OF MY STATEMENTS. I HAVE GIVEN THE ATTORNEY GENERAL ALL THE RIPOFF REPORTS THAT INVOLVE COMPUTER FINANCE LLC, AND HURLEY BANK.
THERE IS AN ON GOING INVESTIGATION OF THEIR TACTICS. QUESTION, IF YOU ARE ON YOUR LAST PAYMENT DON'T YOU HAVE A STATEMENT SHOWING YOUR AMOUNT DUE?
WHY DOES CUSTOMER SERVICE NEED TO TELL YOU YOUR BALANCE? IF WE ARE GOING TO GET THIS COMPANY TO STOP BAD PRACTICES WE NEED TO BE ACCURATE AND HAVE VALID COMPLAINTS.
THERE MUST BE A REASON YOU DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH TO PAY? THE ATTORNEY GENERAL WON'T LOOK AT UN JUSTIFIED COMPLAINTS.
