Continental Warranty is total rip off !!!.
My mechanic was Luke warm about them. I wish I would have listened to him.
I was told I bought a bumper to bumper plan.
The sales guy either had no clue about his product or LIED.
I paid my down payment, plus my first month payment.
The very first time I bring the car in for a repair, I was turned down by Continental. It was a $16.00 part and $145.00 on the labor.
I quickly canceled the policy. I was told by a pretty helpful rep that I should be reimbursed the entire down payment amount and my first month installment. He said I was given bad information.
Also I never collected a dime from these people. They will not reimburse me for the rental car I used when my car was in the shop. I sent the bill in before the policy was canceled,as per instruction by the representative. They are retuning $ 180.00 of the $350.00 plus I put out.
I am including the email I sent to Continental as well.
Dear Cancelation Department,
Please cancel my car warranty. I was told when I first purchased the the car warranty that I was buying was bumper to bumper coverage. I had to take my vehicle to be serviced and found out that in-fact, I do not have full coverage. I believe your sales rep was over zealous into trying to sell a policy or he miss spoke. Either way I demand a full refund. This is not the coverage I was told I was purchasing. I have had several phone calls with a customer service rep of yours-Clifford Williams. He has been extremely helpful and also is making a note in my records that he believes I should be entitled to a full refund as well. I have had the policy for a very short time and never received compensation from Continental for a claim, so a full refund should not be a issue. I would like to thank you in advance for your prompt attention. I can be reached on my cell if you have any questions. I will copy Clifford Williams and my attorney. Regards,
Daniel

This complaint is inaccurate

My company doesn't refer to coverage as "bumper to bumper"
We sell a named component plan, this means that any client buying our program recieves the following information prior to being committed to our program:
1. We have a recorded verification department that goes over exactly what we are selling the client prior to them giving us a deposit. We even ask if there are any components they expected to have covered they didn't hear us say were covered.
2. We send clients the actual contract for 30 days under no penalty if they choose to cancel. So this client referring to us as a "Rip off" had 30 days to read the contract prior to accepting it.
3. We have a welcome center call all of our clients 2 weeks after purchase to go over the plan and answer any questions a client might have while reviewing our program.
We honestly cannot sell it more honestly or straight forward than we do. This client failed to read his contract and more so wants us to pay for what is probably a normal maintenance item that no warranty would cover. I think it illustrates how most complaints that are put on this site are not fair representation of us being a "rip off" of any sort.
Any client reading this or potential client please contact me with any questions at lpitts@continentalwarranty.net or call me at 1-866-989-9100 extension 1620
