I too was ripped off by these people.   The sales person didn't say one thing that was actually true.  He took our red week timeshare with high trading value and gave us a 1500 points tri-ennial (every three years).  First of all it takes 83,000 points through RCI to trade into one of their own resorts.  Getting 1,500 every three years I would never be able to go on vacation. 



The sales guy told us that the maximum points needed to get into any time share was 9,000 points and actually printed up a number of resorts that said 9,000 points in Mexico.   We found out later that this is last call inventory for RCI (30 days or less) for places that no one  booked and they offer them at low points to get rid of them.  You could never book for any 2 bedroom place several months out.  Not knowing the points system we believed what he told us.  He said we would be getting a better deal going from a 2 bedroom to a 3 bedroom at a Gold Crown Resort during Red time.  He also never said anything about it being a tri-ennial deal.  We found that out later as well.  They don't give you a password to RCI for a month so I didn't find out any of this until well after the 5 day grace period to cancel the contract.



They claim to takeover your other timeshare if it doesn't sell after 180 days and he quoted me a pay off of what I would recieve in 180 days which would pay for the new time share however I don't have anything in writing that says this.  I have asked for this and he assures me along with their manager that this is so.  I don't believe anything they say at this point.  I would love to join a class action suite if there is one.
