covenant has decided they are also doctors . sitting here with a broken thumb. not allowed to go home. 40 miles away. but was forced to return the doctors percription to the hospital. in order to b able to sleep on the truck for one night. not allowed to move the truck. doctor said to take one day off to get the swelling down. this is co. does not care about the well being of the drivers. yes they took money out of my pay 4 idle time during that last snow storm. i was told to stock up on blankets. they find many reasons to take your pay.

They can't make you stay there

I was an employee of Covenant Transport myself and they tried to make me live at their nasty Hotel. I found out that by law they cannot make you stay at the Hotel, the State of Tennessee Department of Workers Compensation requires companies to offer medical care close the an employees place of residence if you are on temporary total disability. If you call them directly they will set Covenant strait. If not call a Tennessee workers compensation lawyer and he will take care of it. I can recommend a good one if you reply to this. I am considering reporting them to the board of Tennessee due to the fact that they are breaking the law by not giving their employees the options that the state of Tennessee law requires. I would like to set up a class action lawsuit as well and if you or anyone else you know is willing to testify I already have a lawyer who may be interested. Bottom line, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE AT COVENANT'S NASTY HOTEL BY TENNESSEE LAW THEY MUST LET YOU GO HOME IF YOU ARE ON TEMPORARY TOTAL DISABILITY. DO NOT LET THEM FOOL YOU!
