I bought got my first vehicle financed from this company called Credit Acceptance Corp. Since then i have had many many problems with this vehicle. I would say i spent well over 1k+ trying to fix it, and i'm still having problems with it. So far by me tryin to fix it since i had it, i have fallen behind on the notes. But when i tried to explain this to them, there were just worried about me making a payment. My thing is, if you want me to send you a payment, I have to have a running vehicle to get to the job to send one.
Anyway, I'm still having problems with this vehicle and trying to pay them at the same time, but they seem to not understand. And then they gonna ask me to get a loan to pay them, my thing is how can i do that when you put Collection on my credit from financing this lemon. I would advise people to not get a vehicled finance through a company like this or anything ones similar. Can someone help me, i feel like im being ripped off and they are being unreasonable. FYI there is more info on this story. I strongly suggest someone contact me through my email address or something.
Thanks!

Credit Acceptance only Funds the Loans and Dont have anything 2 do with Vehicle Repairs or Issues!

Hi!
Credit Acceptance only funds the loans and you need to contact the dealer in regards to any vehicle issues. Credit Acceptance has nothing to do with the repairs or the way a vehicle is a lemon. Contact the dealer because the dealer knows everything about what they sell and you can file a complaint with the better BBB-better business bureau in your city or state. You can reach credit acceptance @ 1-800-634-1506 or the local number in Henderson/Las Vegas, Nevada @ 1-702-990-2700 press # 1 customer service and requested 2 speak 2 a supvr or Dealer Partner Service Center who handles all contracts with The Dealers.

The UCC has an implied warranty of merchantability which may help you if your state has adopted that section of the UCC - New York has, so in NY when you purchase a used car from a DEALER (not a private person sale) you do have some protections.

How are they being unresonable?

You signed a contract stating on X date of every month you will pay X dollars. The contract does not indicate that if the car is running you pay on the due date and if it is not then the pay whenever you get the money. If you own a home and the furnace dies do you not pay your mortgage? I know it kinda sucks but this is something I had to learn the hard way. Keep in mind you picked the car not Credit Acceptance they are merely the bank that loaned you the funds to purchase the car.

Credit Acceptance didn't sell you a car. The DEALERSHIP sold you a car. All Credit Acceptance did is loan you money

Check your state lemon laws

Some states, as New York, do offer some "lemon law" protections for used vehicles that are purchased from a used auto dealer (not private person sale.)
You might also check the UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) and see if michigan has adopted it (NY has). There is an implied warranty of usability in the UCC and you might be able to use that to mitigate your situation.
Check the laws in Michigan to see if there is any protection for you.
Good Luck.

There is absolutely nothing you can do about it

As previously said, CAC has nothing to do with the problems you are having with the car, nor do they care, as you've found out. They are only responsible for collecting the payment for the car.
Next time, get the car you are buying checked out by a mechanic before buying it. You have no legal recourse, and it doesn't matter who the car is financed by, they would all do the same thing if you were not making your payments on time, no matter what the reason.

USED LEMON

There is no such thing as a lemon on a used car. Lemons are for new vehicles only. Also it is not the finance companies problem that there are issues with the car. See if there is an arbitration clause in your contract and go that way
