 Back in 2009 I Got a Car find Detroit Auto Show and it was financed through Credit Acceptance it was the type of vehicle with a device on the car and I had the car for about a year and all of a sudden it wouldn't start so I took it back and forth to a place that accepted my warranty but there was a $100 deductible at that time the first couple of times I was able to pay my car note and pay the warranty whenever the card needed something fixed but I noticed it became an ongoing problem back and forth and I end up taking it about 10 times. I called in every time my car broke down and let them know that there was an ongoing issue with this car. I'm coming to find out it was because the Box on the car was shorting out my engine so the finance company told me to take it back to the dealership and have them replace the Box. when I went back to the dealership I purchased the vehicle from my sales rep that had originally sold me the car was no longer employed there so I asked to speak to a manager. the manager told me that they were not the ones to replace the Box on the car but the actual finance company was and to me that seems a little odd so I said okay and called the finance company and the finance company insured me that the dealership where I purchase the car from we're the only ones authorized to put a new box on. which is true because if you're not authorized to touch those boxes they said that you can actually get a felony put against you so you actually have to be authorized. so I called back to the dealership to speak to the manager and he was on lunch so I went up there and spoke to a girl and she said that he had left for the day so I left again and call again the next day and when I called the next day they said yes the manager is in hold on. I was on hold for over an hour and then the phone hung up so I proceeded to call back and back and back and of course no answer. at this point I was really upset because sometimes my car will not start!!!

So a few weeks after that I went back up to the dealership and guess what Detroit Auto to where I purchase the car from was gone there was no trace of this dealership all the cars were gone and the building was just sitting there empty. this was so crazy to me because all they had to do was replace the Box. so at this point I'm stuck with a car that only starts when it wants to!!! so when I finally got my car out of the shop the last time the guy who was fixing on it the whole time told me that I couldn't bring my car back because it was the box that was shorting it out and he was not authorized to touch that box. so I took my car home and I had it parked for 5 hours and Credit Acceptance repossessed it. Manju during all of this back and forth with the dealership and finance company I had my payments set up automatically on my account so every two weeks they will take out $168 and some change and every time I had to take the car to get it looked at it was $100 deductible .so I will call Credit Acceptance and let them know that the first payment that they're going to try to take out is going to reject but they have full authorization to take the full payment out right along with the second payment so my payment could be complete which was always by the 28th of each month because that's when my car note was due.so even when my first payment rejected that always got their full payment by the actual due date but considering to them this is considered late. but how was it late when my note is paid by the time of the day to do and just because the first payment bounced they always receive their payment.

I was not behind on my payments at all I was current so they repoed my car after me getting it out of the shop I only had it for 5 hours and the tow truck man was very very nice he told me that Credit Acceptance was a very bad company and who seen them repo somebody's car over $ 100 and he also told him to wait until I had it fixed before they repossed it!!! He let me retrieve my things and the next morning I called Credit Acceptance they wanted $1,600 for me to get my car back and what made it even worse is the last time I spoke with the lady on the phone i authorized her to tell her to take the full payment out by the 28th of each month because I had once again had to put the car in the shop because the device they had on there which was the Box cause my car to short out and it would not start so after that they ended up taking the car!!!

So maybe a year after that they start sending me court papers but there was never an actual date to appear in court and the day I always receive the letter it was always about three days after the letter was dated and I found that very odd and now for the past 4 years they have been garnishing my mother and I they have been taking her and my state taxes every year and my mother is on a fixed income and also they take 25% of my pay they take $374 per month from me .I only work part-time and I go to school and I have two children how is this possible and my mother is on a fixed income and also they take 25% of my payday take 374 dollars per month from me. I am so curious because I see so many people who has had problems with credit acceptance and they need to be stopped because they have honestly ruined my life .I can't pay any of my bills I have a shut-off notice for my lights an addiction notice in my current car that I have I'm behind on because they take so much of my pay please can someone help!!!!!!

I also am with CAC. The only thing I dont like is that they take forever to remove the money from my bank account. They seem to be very lenient with me. When I was 2months behind they worked with me to catch up. Did you ask could you split the payments in half in order to catch up? Maybe you can see if they will work something out with you to get the payments reduced. I hope everthing works out for you. I know garnisments are a nightmare, been there before.

 I have been put through more than I ever thought possible by this company.
