The sale was made quickly and on a first meeting basis and I was promised that I would save money by switching from the current processing company I was using. After using their services and receiving the first statement, I was shocked at how much more it was than my previous processor. Worse yet, the fees were higher with less sales in comparison. I called to go over the charges and found that I was being nickled and dimed to death by the minimum fees, by every little thing possible. Most companies these minimum fees are waived if the sales were at a certain dollar amount. With this company, the rates are charged in addition to the minimum fees. The equipment was free and I think what the reality of it was is that the minimum fees were paying for the equipment, which over time would cost my company a lot more money than if I had to option of buying the equipment outright.

I called customer service to stress my disappoinment in being mislead upon signing and wanting to review the contract because the fees were a problem. Customer service had nothing to offer me. The sales woman that signed me up washed me down the drain and told me I had to take it up with the company, and the company told me that was what I signed up for. Fortunately, I had not terminated my other processor so I unplugged Crescent's equipment and went back to my old processor and started saving money immediately. I thought maybe after weeks of no transactions going through the system I might hear from my salesman or a representative from the company to see why. Never heard a thing.

After 2 months, I weighed the minimum monthly fees and the termination fee and realized it was cheaper to terminate and be done than to continue to have an open account not being used. I terminated on the 11th of the month, had to pay a termination fee of $495, as agreed upon, and still received over $60 in monthly minimum fees for the month. For the 3 months of non use, it cost over $180, plus the $495 termination fee, and calling to ask why I was still charged the monthly fee after terminating I was told any part of the month was still my obligation and I had to pay it. My entire experience with Crescent Processing Company was not pleasant and very unprofessional. By the time this experience was said and done, I felt ripped off. There was no attempt of customer satisfaction.
