Dell Financial Services (a.k.a Dell Preferred Account) Offers a 12 month deferred financing deal where, if you payoff the principle of the account balance, you do not have to pay the 13.3% financing charge. They also conveniently arrange a third party payor to draft the money from your bank account and make your payments. They did this for me on a laptop purchase and I scheduled the Payments to be payed on the 23rd of each month when the payment due date was always the 29th. This worked great for 11 months, but on the 12th month the third party did not make the payment and now I am liable for $166.87 in finance charges. I think Dell may be setting people up like this all the time.
