DermaLuxe DermaLuxe Sample Trial results in fraud for $92.05 Wilmington Delaware

I found a slick ad by DermaLuxe on the internet for a new product promising to counteract aging facial skin.  A trial sample was offered for only the $4.95 postage.  I now notice that there are more than ten websites promoting this product, all of them very professionally done.

Three weeks after receiving my sample, my credit card was billed for $92.05.  I traced the code back to the $4.95 charge on my card made earlier.

I called customer service [+18887622265] and protested that I had not signed up for any additional supplies.  "Oh, no," I was told, "This was a charge for the sample bottle."

Sure enough, in the fine print in the contract, it does say that anyone who fails to call them within 14 days will be charged for the sample.  You call, and it is free.  What?

I complained that this was no way to do business.  Either the product works for me, and I place an order.  Or, I do nothing and they had the opportunity to bring their product to my attention.

Then the customer service representative began to drop the price for a monthly bottle of DermaLuxe.  First the price was reduced to half, and then, when I hesitated, it was reduced to $20 a bottle.  This indicataed to me that the cost of production must be less than $10 a bottle.

I asked to speak to the supervisor.  "No supervisor is present."  When I persisted in demanding a full refund of my $92.05, the connection was broken.

My next step is to see if my bank can stop payment.
