My 81 year old father had been receiving magazines (regular & pornographic) for some time.  I found he has been the victim of a very disreputable company, Diamond Enterprises (PMB #266, 4719 Quail Lakes Drive, Ste G, Stockton CA  95207).

This company has talked him into four-year subscriptions to numerous magazines at inflated prices and has charged his card numerous times above and beyond the stated amount.    They also sent him numerous pornographic movies, allegedly at no charge, which I believe automatically renews the subscriptions.  He has subscriptions paid to 2017!

I returned the unopened movies and included a letter from my father stating the subscriptions need to be cancelled, he is not to be called, and all charges on his credit card stopped.  I have spoken with Diamond Enterprises numerous times and they assured me this would occur.

The subscription included Penthouse (24), Maxim (24), Mens Journal (48), Details (20), and Playboy (36) for 36 payments of $27.75/mo.  Thats $999.00 for magazines with a cover price of $874.57, or subscription costs on Amazon.com of $205.24!

They still call him at least twice a week, trying to scam him into giving them his new credit card number.  They call him Honey and Sweetie and act so nice, but Im hoping he will stick to the plan and not give them his number.   I call them back each time and they apologize and assure me they wont call again.

I have filed complaints with the Federal Communications Commission, Federal Trade Commission, California Attorney General, and California Division of Consumer Protection.   These are online complaints and I urge EVERYONE who has issues with this company to do the same.  I am now sending emails directly to the magazines, notifying them of Diamond Enterprises unethical business practices.  I am hoping the publishers will see that they are putting themselves at risk associating with Diamond Enterprises.

If you have had dealings with this company, please file complaints with the agencies listed above.

If we all work together, perhaps we can do something about this company.
