Direct Buy ripoff Albuquerque New Mexico

Please save yourself $4000 and do not invest in a direct buy membership. My husband and I were duped buy the very impressive sales pitch and the 'now or never close'. Unfortunately it nearly depleted our savings.

The company is really hard to shop with, you cannot try before you buy or even see what you are buying before you do. Shipping is a nightmare (it generally takes weeks or months to get your product) and the prices are generally not much lower than retail on-sale prices.

Please please please don't make the same mistake. Momma's right, if something seems too good to be true, it is.

Don,
You probably made the right decision. We joined briefly last year and were basically very dissappointed in the level of service we received and the price comparisons we made. After speaking with other members, we found we weren't alone. Unless you're doing a MAJOR remodel of your house or planning to completely refurnish your home with top of the line furniture, then the membership would take you many years to recoup. After threatening to contact the attorney general, they refunded our $4000 membership. Sounds like they've upped that cost over the past year. If you have specific questions please let me know.

Keri: My wife and I just took the tour here in Albuquerque on Saturday, but didn't sign up. I found the tour uneasy and they wanted me to agree to a $5000.00 sign up fee immediately. I was wondering if you and your husband might be interested in discussing your specific experiences with the Albuquerque store in more detail. Are you still a member and for how long now? How's the local franchise treat you? I am a lawyer and they didn't give us much flack when we walked out after some slight pressure to join or be blackballed for 7 years. I told the salesman, "I didn't know about you yesterday, and I won't lose any sleep if I don't get to know you better tomorrow."
