this company is a total rip off! my husband and i signed up in september 2006. we believed them when they said that we would get dealer pricing on all items. we were told that we could use the website to check pricing, but we had to wait a week after we joined to get web access due to "system problems" we discovered after getting access to the web page, that we could find better prices on the internet for the same or similar items.

when we called to cancel our $4000.00 membership, they told us we only had 3 days to cancel so they would not refund any of our money. we didn't get access to the account for 7 days so how could we have know they weren't the lowest price in 3 days! anyway, since then my husband and i have tried to use them several times and they keep saying no one will beat us on price on various items and they are always wrong.

i wish there was a way to get at least part of our membership fee back. their membership fee cost me so much that i cannot afford my kitchen cabinets for my gutted kitchen. the irony of it all. do not use this company! they do not take care of their members!

I've had nothing but good experiences with DirectBuy

We have already saved more than what my membership fee was. Although we never looked at the online catalog, we did find everything we needed to remodel our home was a greater deal through DirectBuy.

Don't just lie down use your voice

Our family has been there and regretted it but you DO HAVE OPTIONS, call a lawyer and find out what your rights are because the contracts can vary. Also file a claim with the better business burea. Then there is the power of voice.

Let everyone you know , know what has happened. This serves 2 purposes. It won't happen to them (studies say most people with a bad experience share it with at least 10 others) plus if Direct buy comes up they will share your experience. In the long run it will hurt their pockets.
