I called direct TV and they stated that in their agreement they are not responsible for removing their salllite dishes that are encroaching on someone's property as they had permission from the the tenat or the owner.  They never received permission from the tenant or any one in the association.  I am the owner of the condominium that the disk is on my common elements of the property with no usages for over 2 years and no one has removed it.

I will let everyone know not to order for Direct TV as they state they are not responsible for the removal even though they placed it without permission from the association of my community.  This is unacceptable.  This now will cost me over $500 which I did not order this dish.  There should be responsiblilty from Direct TV to remove this once service is terminted.

This should not be the responsiblity of the adjoining owner.  We must not order Direct TV in the future.

DirecTV does not just drive down neighborhoods and install random dishes that aren't being used. Someone gave them permission.

You made some interesting statements.

You stated that it had no usage for over 2 years. How would you know that if you didn't know who's dish it was? If it had "no usage" for two years, how long was it being used? Why didn't you complain about the dish when it was first installed? If you know who's dish it was why didn't you go to them to get them to move it? How come you didn't go to your HOA and file a complaint against the other tenant/owner?  HOA's have the power to fine and penalize Homeowners for violations of the rules, figuring that this dish was installed in violation of the rules.

Is this a case you bought the condo, perhaps 2 years ago? If that is the case then the time to complain about the dish was BEFORE you purchased the house. You could have made some arrangement with the seller to either pay for removal or remove it themselves.  After the fact it then becomes your responsibility to have it removed.
