Direct TV Charge for "mirroring" instead of cable box lease. Wheeling, Illinois

I purchased receivers for Direct TV so I wouldn't have to pay for the monthly charge for 7 receivers.  I contacted Direct TV and was informed that this charge was no longer for the converter but it was now a "mirroring" charge and that I was not paying for the converter box.  I went out and bought boxes and regardless of the ownership of the boxes I still have to pay the same monthly charge per box.

Large Corporation taking advantage of the user.  It's not bad enough that they put all of the independents out of business but they have more than doubled the cost and force you to pay for each converter box by calling it something else.
