Directv Inc. World's Worst Customer service El Segundo, California

The customer service at this company is so bad, the people on the phone refuse to giv e out the name and number of the president and CEO of Directv, inc.  As a FYI, his name is Michael D. White.  He is actually located in El Segundo, CA 90245, not Colorado (which is where customer service representatives say to write!).  The phone number to reach these jerks is 310-535-5000 and the street address to mail a complaint is 2230 E Imperial Hwy.

I stopped using this service for a number of reasons.  The biggest reason is because of their poor customer service.  In every case where I had an issue over the 18 months, it took between 2 to 3 trips to correct the problem.  Even though I was promised free installation, I had to fight to avoid a $29.95 service call even though they were unable to properly install my system to begin with.  (They also tried to charge me for return calls when the initial call did not solve the problem!)

The final "straw" is the fact that, like an idiot, I paid a bill knowing I was going to cancel service, forgbetting that with this company, one pays in advance.  I have been waiting since 12/31/09 (when the company received the set-top boxes according to FedEx tracking) for an refund of my overpayment.  I have received 2 statements since overpaying, but no refund.  Both statements show a credit balance, by the way.

Anyone considering dealing with this company should expect that there is no service in their terms of customer service.  In spite of emails, phone calls, and finally figuring out how to reach the office of the president, I still await my refund!
