I have the same experience with Discount Blind & Shade Factory. I closed escrow 13 Oct 05 and Scott from this company came 14 Oct and measured all our windows. After measuring he came up with the amount that we have to pay and we paid in full with a credit card. He said that it will take 3 weeks to be installed and we said that's fine.
It is now 14 Dec 05 and we don't have our window coverings yet. I called so many times and I am put on hold before I could talk to a live person and when I do she claims that somebody else have my order on another desk and she will come up with the reason that they are behind on their order and they have shipment coming this week or whatever week and she will check and when I call back she will always say that it was not included on the latest shipment that came.
Lately they called 2 or 3 times telling me that they are working on my order and they will let me know the status ASAP. That was 2 weeks ago and until now I have not received any phonecalls from them. I tried this morning to call and a recording answered and I was on hold for 36 minutes, I hanged up and called back but the number was busy, and also the other phone # was temporarily disconnected, that's bad news. Help!!

Credit Card Charge Backs

If you contact your credit card company and tell them that you would like to charge back your credit card due to "Failure to produce promised product" they should refund your card I have talked to a couple customers and as long as you say that and not that the company is going under they should process it.
Visa and Master Card have the rules of 6 months for you to do a charge back. If they say its only 60 or 90 days as to talk to the bank that issues the credit card.
I am checking this site daily so that if I have any more helpful information I will gladly pass it along.
By the way Discount blind and Shade owes me $7500.00 dollars in back pay that I will never see.

I called Channel 12 and they really did a story on this company and I was told that the rep from the company told the reporter that they will try to honor the orders that were placed. I also called my credit card company to help me with anything that they could, they will send me a form to fill out and will go after the company. I suggest the rest do the same who used a credit card because I think you have only 60 days to do that and I don't believe that this company will honor their promise.
