My housemate, an elderly man on a fixed income has, for the last three days (Jan 30, 31, Feb 1st, 2013), received calls from this company asking he verify the last 4 digits of his social security number. At this point, they say he owes over $400.00 for DIRECT TV at an address in Colville, WA 99114 that is not a valid address. Something like 789 NW (maybe NE Road). Apt. J. There is no such address. The individual states the account was opened in 2008 and closed mid-2012. Neither Loyed M. campbell nor any of his children (all advanced adults) have ever lived at such or similar address.They insisted He file a police report based soley on their phone call devoid of any paperwork from them. They ask for his email address. He has no email, cannot use a computer, has never owned one. The individual states that the email address used was "redneck- - - -@yahoo.com. Today they threatened to destroy his credit rating or make good the so-called fabricated debt. I insisted on their address to write a cease and desist and send a copy to BBB.
