Drivetime I bought a Lemon Schaumburg Illinois
*Consumer Comment: If you take your car back - it is a repo
*General Comment: Update
I'm not pleased with this company, the car lot seemed great deals but in reality they were lemons. The whole process seem to real and easy. When filing the paper work the car salesman kept hitting on me and calling me and it felt unwelcome, and kept texting me. They didn't explain to me i had to make two car payments a month which was crazy because when you buy a new car it is not like that. Customer care was not friendly and not willing to work out payments. The car needed to be fixed so many times and where they tell you to take it they made it worst. The car is inactive and now stuck with long huge payments.

If you take your car back - it is a repo

To the respondent, it is not a good idea to take your car back to DriveTime. It will ruin your credit. Why? Because you will have a repo on your credit even if you turn it in voluntarily plus you will have to pay for the entire loan + penalities and interest even if you don't have the vehicle! They will sell the car when you turn it in and apply the very small amount they receive toward your balance, but you will owe the rest. If you don't pay it, DriveTime will get a judgment against you for the unpaid amount that can last anywhere from 10 years to 20 years and then be renewed for the same amount if unpaid. Look up judgments in your state. So then you are in a really bad spot - you still owe the money even though you don't have the vehicle. No, I don't work for them. But I know what happens with a repo.

Hello, I am currently in your same situation this was my first car so i was so happy, my car note is sky rocket high, and my car keeps breaking down Meneike had my car for 3 weeks and some change. I am very upset and Drive time is not helpful neither is Bridgecrest or Averex so i am debating on letting the car go back because my trade in value is extremly horrible. I will really be upside down like $14,000 upside down. I wanted to know what did you end up doing with the vehicle?
