I purchased vehicle on 1/13/2018 from DriveTime. As I was told by the salesman I had 2options which he showed me in his computer. I can do bi-weekly which will be $226.60 that will automatically come out my account through auto pay. I told him that I really pay my bills every month on my own and can I do monthly. He stated that it will be $491 monthly. So you save a little for doing bi-weekly. So I asked him if I will choose to make that change can I and he stated yes. Just called Bridgecrest but if you choose to do monthly. So I been making my payments bi-weekly. I called in February or beginning of March spoke with a rep. Ask her about going monthly and when customers are paid 3 times out the month do they take a third payment for that month. She stated yes. I told her I will like to cancel the autopay and do monthly. She stated that I will mess up the interest but if I do choose I will have to do it two days in advance and I can always reenroll. I contacted Bridgecrest again in approximately 3/27. I talked communicated by texting Melissa a rep for Bridgecrest. I told her I will like to cancel my autopay and like to know when are the payments do monthly. She stated I see you are on biweekly which is so every 14 days. Your autopay has been cancel and a confirmation email will be sent to your email you can reero online or over the phone with a agent. I checked my email the information never came. The only email that came was that they where taking my payment on a couple of days. So I called and spoke with another rep. I told her about the text message I had with Melissa. She looked into and cancel it. Ask is there anything else I said no and thank you. Three days later Bridgecrest calls me leave messages. They cally job left a message. I get a call from a coworker saying heads up Bridgecrest called you. I called them inquiring about maybe reenrolling because they never gave me that monthly date. They said my account was in default and I missed a payment and I’m 3 days behind. I told the lady I wanted to go monthly and she said I’m enrolled for bi-weekly. I told her it had to be a misunderstanding because I was told I had the options and when I spoke to the reps they never said o didn’t have that option. And she read the text message from Melissa and I and said my questions where answered and there is no misinformation or misunderstanding. I know when I had to make payments and don’t o wat h what come out of my account and I knew the due date was 3/31. And when I called the next day to cancel the rep made that cleared to me. I told her that is a lie and they are putting words in my mouth and please play the recording. I told her I have a witness to that conversation which is my coworker (aide) because it was on speaker because I was driving. She stated so I have $226.60 if not I need to get it and I have to until 10pm to get it. I Told her I don’t really like confirmation and can I pay on the 12th or 13th and do a double payment she stated no it’s to late and I have up to 10pm. I told her I will get a lawyer if I have to and sue. She stated I wouldn’t win. Why did I cancel away. I paid $453.60 already for March and they wanted another $226.60 for March. To continue on what happen she kept asking where can I find the money from or who can I get the money from I told her I have no one. She told me it needed to be pay today and I can’t make a double payment on the 12th or 13th. I told her will sense you put it that way come take the car because I don’t know whatelse to tell you. She stated I can render the car to them. I asked to speak to someone on charge. I explained to her the same ask I explained to the first rep. She stated it’s not a miscommunication or misunderstanding you should have got clarification and I will not go back and forth with you over this. You know what your responsibilities were and you need to pay. We don’t have monthly payments only biweekly and what you don’t have money saved up. I told her I’m a single mom taking care of my sickly mom and thought I will go monthly since March was paid for use my third check. She told me I got until 10pm. I told her then y’all going have to take the vehicle because I don’t know what else to tell you. She said you address still the same and you work address I said yes it is. She said to me with all that income you got you can pay. You have a full time and a part time and you don’t have the money. When do you get paid from your part time. I answered once a month. But this she already knew because I provided them with all my pay stubs and information. She told me I don’t have a grace period there is no grace period for me. But I read a grace period on the contract and by law I know there’s a grace period. And you were approved for biweekly not monthly. I told her that not what the salesman stated to me or showed me in his computer while we were going over paperwork. Then she said something but I didn’t quite understand what she said and then she said monthly will be $491 a month. I told her ok $500 a month that is what my last car was before it was total. So after all the bullying, harassment, embrassement, and threats. I gave up and told her if this is not going to be resolve there is no use in talking to you and I hung up. I went on Bridgecrest site and was able to set up a double payment for $226.60 totaling $453.20 for the 13th. The next day 4/4/18 I went to drive time asking for the documentation about the biweekly and monthly because they never put it in my folder. They said Bridgecrest will have it because they have all my information. I called Bridgecrest inquiring about the documentation they said they don’t have that kind of information. I called back and spoke with someone again at DriveTime and he stated that they only approved you on how your paid which is why I had to do biweekly. I told him I choose biweekly and I was told that I can do monthly if I choose to change he stated that is true and I will have to talk to Bridgecrest to change that. I not evening complaining about the bad deal they offered on a use to be rental car with over 40000 miles. They had listed for only a little over $13,0000. Once you start the paperwork they add on a GPS system that’s like $4000 and say you have to get it because it’s a requirement and it has its benefits. Proceeding fee $299 I’m used to that charge you over $600 for another system. Them they over charged you for the gap insurance over $1000. Interest rate I know was high wasn’t complaining about that. Total damage little over $34000. On a 2015 $13000 car. I was only required to put down $1000 but the salesman let me do $600. After the horrible deal I still wasn’t complaining. But the bullying, lying, threatening, harassment, belittling, and stealing I will not tolerate especially as a customer or refusing to provide me with proper documentation that I asked for.
