Hello Everyone,

I am paying $69.00 dollars per month to Dun and Bradstreet and/or its ‘Credibility’ Spin-off company for credit monitoring, which feels more like extortion payments. I normally pay all my creditors on-time and never been late with anyone. I’ve been paying D&B for over six months now, and I check my report quite frequent due to the trust factor with this company. At any given time, my D&B business file will reflect all my accounts current as they should be. Then once a month, a ghostly 30-day late entry – either from a mortgage banker or classified as “other” appears on my report and drops my scores to a “high-risk” level, from a non-risk level. I attempt to dispute the entry numerous times, but they decline my request almost  immediately,  and direct me to contact their customer service office, which then attempts to up-sell me more product and services with a “or else,” tune to the conversation.  I normally tell them I cannot afford to pay them any more than the $69.00 dollars per month, and if they don’t like it, I will cancel that as well. Sometimes, that remove the fictitious negative entry, but this time, they are holding their ground.  I told them I will file a complaint with the FTC, because I am getting sick and tired of my business credit score getting used as a tool to coax me to sign-up for more services. I refuse to do that.

On another occasion, one of my creditors was reporting my timely payments to D&B, (a $3000.00 dollar trade-line). In early march of 2014, I noticed the timely payment trend was now reporting over 10 days late. I knew that was bogus, and contacted this creditor to validate. They stated that they did, and are reporting my account to D&B as “paying in a timely fashion.” I disputed this on-line with D&B and they not only removed the fictitious late entry, but as a spiteful act, they deleted the entire trade-line the next day. That was an important trade-line for my company, and now I have to wait for a repost which can take up to 60-90 days. They have also deleted the trade-lines that I asked to be placed on my D&B file since I was paying their $69.00 dollars per month fee. I cannot tolerate the behavior of this organization and someone needs to take some action and investigate their practices. This is causing me and my business distress and is a burden to us.

Thank You
