I purchased my 2500 Dodge Ram Diesel on May 15, 2007. Being a heavy equipment mechanic I was not interested in another bogus warranty, but after being assured that this (excellent warranty) did in fact cover the two fuel pumps on this truck I paid the 1695.00 for it.

Why would I pay this insane price you ask ? Simple! The two fuel pumps alone total 3700.80 including labor. Fast forward 2+ years and no previous claims, my truck broke!

Upon contacting Eagle Warranty I was told (take it to a liscensed insured shop) so I did. Thomas Hill Burgin Dodge, they have been great to deal with. After following all outlined procedures to the letter, I was informed that the total cost to repair the list of problems with the truck was 11,710.91.

Never fear though, the warranty company was (nice enough) to offer to pay a whopping 1956.91 toward the cost, how considerate. Only leaving me to pay a " minor sum" of 9754.00.

Add up the 11,710.91 the 16,500.00 paid for the truck you get 28,210.91, I'm no math whiz, but I could have bought a new Ram diesel for this amount, with a good factory warranty.

After the initial sticker shock I contacted Eagle about the fuel pumps not being covered only to be told " Your truck has no fuel pumps only a transfer and injection pump" Then (Shawn) the claims manager proceded to tell me that since he had a degree in diesel mechanics he was right and I was wrong.

After a brief session of yes and no (Shawn) decided to give me the benefit of the doubt and cover the fuel transfer pump "not to be confused with a fuel pump" and also the cheaper of the two FUEL PUMPS.

So two days later I contacted the dealer only to be informed that Egle was only going to pay 270.53 of the 3780.00 to repair the fuel system, not only that but now they refuse to cover items that the contract clearly states are coverd items.

So in conclusion STAY AWAY FROM EAGLE WARRANTY. They are dishonest and unwilling to honor the garbage they call a warranty contact.

I intend to let my lawyer settle this in court!

Thanks for listening, Mike

Well I went to court Jan. 4 and they didn't show, got a judgement against them but still don't have my truck and don't know when I'll get it or the money. Guess I'll let the lawyers and attorney general work it out. Mike
