ATTENTION EVERYONE WHO IS READING THIS:

I am so sick and tired of companies like EcoQuest International selling their dreams of untold wealth and prosperity to gullible people like myself, only to rip us off in the end. I don't know what I was thinking of to get involved with this company, but one of their reps called me and explained what a great product the air freshener was and like an idiot I agreed to try it with the understanding that I could return it for a full refund of my money if I was not satisfied. Well, they sent it to me and to tell you the truth, I really didn't see that much difference in the air quality in my home. I almost let the rep talk me into becoming a distributor, but when she told me that I would have to finance the "success pack" (they should call it the "failure pack") with about $2,500 of my own money, I knew something smelled rotten here. These people are telling you that you can make all this money when all they do is ask for more and more of your money! I told the rep that I was not interested and would return the unit to her.

I mailed it a little over a week ago and tracked it through the postal service. The rep received it yesterday around noon. When I called Best Finance to see if she had called them to let them know she received the unit, so that I could receive a refund on my debit card account, the customer service rep at Best Finance told me that the unit had been damaged in the mail and they were sending it back to me. I don't believe it because when I mailed it, the post office attendant helped me tape the box with a special tape to keep the box intact. Plus the unit was packed in bubble wrap and newspaper. If these **** think I am going to let them continue to take money out of my account for someting I don't even have, they are crazier than I thought they were. If my credit union does not bar these people from deducting anymore money out of my account, I will CLOSE the account.

I am also going to file a complaint with small claims court to get back the nearly $300 these crooks have already stolen from me.

The internet is full of these evil companies who do this to people and they do it under the guise of Christianity. If anybody is going to hell, trust me, it will definitely be the top bananas at Ecoquest. RUN, don't walk away from this company!

Postal problem!!!

AUTHOR: Cornbread - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 23, 2008

Harvey,
I read your stated issue with EcoQuest international and quit frankly I don't understand your problem. First, put yourself in their shoes, the unit arrived damaged should they eat the cost on a unit that might have been damaged by you before it even went into the mail? This is why the post office and other carriers offer insurance to protect the rights of both parties. Second, how is this at all an issue with EcoQuest International? It seems to me that this is an issue between you and your rep or dealer or whatever their called. I actually own one of these purifiers and haven't had a bit of problems with it and from what I gather you didn't either. Yet your attacking the company as though they stole your wallet. My dealer made sure to remind me not to damage the unit or the box when I received it just in case I wanted to return it. Thankfully I loved it and kept it!

Your success is your own responsibility

As a former rep for Ecoquest International, I can attest to the fact that there is an abundance of help available to help anyone achieve success. The failure of anyone in this company is NOT due to being ripped off. It takes effort and determination to make any business work; their products save lives. And my experience is that if they say it was damaged when they received it, it was damaged. I saw a lot of people try to rip THEM off, not paying for success paks and leaving the people who signed them up without commissions after doing all the followup to help people get started. And yes, a lot of lives were transformed by this company, with their products AND their business. If you failed, you just didn't try very hard. There are no free rides. I left the company because I couldn't put the time in any longer; but not because they failed me in any way.

Think about the Business.

I am somewhat amused at the comments that this company tried to rip you off when they mentioned you would have to finance the Success Pack yourself. If you consider any other business you would want to start the cost for the Success Pack is actually quite low.

In my experience, every company has difficulties and miscues and that is most likely what happened in this case. I have had dealings with this company for many years and have enjoyed the overall experience.

What I would suggest is that you take a step back, calm down a little, and look at this from a business perspective instead of a get rich quick scheme and realize that this could be a really good business if it is worked correctly.

There's all kinds-

What about the 4 people who just refused to send me my money, answer my calls, or acknowledge they have stolen $700 each? No Ecoquest won't help me, and yes the US mail DID scar up my customer-returned Breeze too. No they said it WASN'T their fault and yes, the insurance was worthless. I ate the whole thing. Should I have? No. I COULD have sent it BACK to the customer and made THEM eat it and it was sent in an Ecoquest box!

They tell stories about people who made LOTS of money by spending thousands of dollars marketing their equipment. They just don't tell THAT part. Some people DO go and get large accounts and get the "reputation" and make money. Most don't. 95% of all new businesses ALSO fail because of improper knowledge of marketing, business plans, product, people skills, financing, target markets, etc....

It's all about numbers and the learning curve. Yeah, I'm still in, my wife didn't get her monthly cold for 4 years now, 23 people have called me with the news that they got off their inhalers within 24 hours of turning on their machines. THAT's what keeps ME going. My 2 boys were my first, 4 years ago. Now it's got proof of killing the MSRA and Avian Flu viruses.

Sounds like you have a common problem. Goods damaged in transit. I noticed you filed this report in April. Has the postal service taken care of this problem for you? Did the EcoQuest Dealer state they would not refund your money? Best Finance can only refund your money after the Dealer receives the air purifier in the same condition it was shipped to you. Hopefully you insured the air purifier for the full retail amount. You are covered either by the EcoQuest Dealer guarantee or the postal insurance. By now I am sure this has all been resolved. Please let the readers know.

EcoQuest Intl does not offer money back guarantees. That would be between you and the Dealer. Your complaint is with the Dealer.

The Fresh Air purifier you received was packed in a substantial container, highly resistant to damage. You stated you wrapped it in bubblewrap and newspaper. Did you not use the original packaging? EcoQuest has shipped over 5 million air purifiers around the world, with over a 98% satisfaction rating in the performance of the air purification units.
